The developers of Call of Duty: Mobile announced that the popular shooter’s Zombies mode will not leave the “testing” phase. In a community update, the team explains that the limited-time mode has been pulled indefinitely. According to them, it didn’t reach the desired level of quality. On March 25, Zombies mode will not be available for players anymore. Moreover, the second map ‘Nacht Der Untoten’ will no longer make way to global players.
“One of the most frequently asked questions to these updates is what about Zombies mode?” Today, after extensive evaluation we are sharing that Zombies is being removed on March 25.” “We had always mentioned it was limited but with no explicit end-date. We wanted to see the reception, see the feedback, and see how we can potentially shape the mode for the future. However, it didn’t reach the level of quality we desire.”
Those definitively are underwhelming news for all the players that were excited with the Zombies mode. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the mode will not be introduced in the future. The development team can keep improving the gaming mode “under the wraps” for a future release. Call of Duty: Mobile currently is one of the most successful games in the mobile segment with a competitive approach and a massive amount of players.
