Square-Enix’s popular JRPG series NieR is about to enter the mobile segment with NieR Re[in]carnation. The big Japanese conglomerate revealed the game in the end of the last month and now has uploaded the first gameplay video through its YouTube account. The latest entry for the series in home consoles was NieR: Automata and has been selling quite well. Now, the Japanese firm who already achieved great success with titles like Final Fantasy: Record Keeper and Brave Exvius, wants to see what NieR series can achieve in the mobile department.
NieR Re[in]carnation takes a ride in other success like Journey mixing a beautiful and at the same time lonely world. In the gameplay video, we can see a young woman walking along with a flying creature. We can see the pair running through the scenarios, and unfortunately, we can’t see much action in the video. However, we can clearly see that the company wants to deliver a remarkable soundtrack with the game.
The game is scheduled for 2020, but unfortunately, the company fails to give us an actual launch date. Moreover, it’s hard to guess considering all the effects that COVID-19 is causing in the gaming market. In most cases, developers are working and testing games from home. Thus causing many titles to be postponed.
