SnowCastle Games recently announced its next iteration of Earthlock title, simply dubbed Earthlock 2. For those who’re unaware, the original Earthlock was unveiled way back in 2016. It was more of a tribute to the classic turn-based JRPGs of the late 90s. Earthlock 2 follows similar gameplay and is now announced for next-gen consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One.
Although at first fans were expecting the title to make its way to Nintendo Switch handheld consoles, it looks like that might not happen at all.
Earthlock 2 might not launch on Nintendo Switch!
In a recent interview with SnowCastle with Nintendo Life, the game company hinted towards the fact that we might not see the game on the Nintendo Switch console. The developers furthermore mentioned that Nintendo Switch’s RAM makes it very hard to squeeze in the game. Furthermore, the company will try to bring the title but there are no promises.
Unfortunately, as of now, we can’t promise it. We certainly will try, but especially the RAM on Nintendo Switch makes it very hard to squeeze in the game.
Earthlock 2 is going to be an open-world action RPG title that will offer extensive customizations to the players. The new title will also take place in the same world but will offer completely different experiences. Earthlock 2 makes use of Unreal Engine while the original title uses Unity. The developers have also revealed the teaser trailer of the game which you can see down below.
