Slam Dunk, a 90’s Anime returns as a game for Android and iOS

Dubbed as SLAM DUNK, the game of the famous anime of the 90s will arrive globally for Android and iOS pretty. The game is now available for pre-registration in several countries. The game obviously is a basketball game just like the old-school anime. It will feature 3 vs 3 teams (their players against three players). The focus will be on quick matches with no more than five minutes of duration. It’s a casual sports game, featuring nostalgic characters from the original anime.

According to DeNA, the studio behind the game, Slam Dunk will not have “automatic playing systems”. In other words, players will not be able to “auto-play” this game. It’s a competitive game and requires actual player input. However, the game will feature trending “Gacha Elements”. The biggest purpose of those mechanics will be to collect characters from the original anime like Hanamichi Sakuragi, Kaede Rukawa, and others. We suppose that all characters will have specific attributes, and that should give players a reason to spend on those iconic characters.

Apart from the Players versus Players mode, the game will also bring PvE mode. It will allow players to experience and relive iconic moments from the anime. The game will be available in multiple languages. You can see more about it in the trailer below:
