Angry Birds Tennis scrapped by Rovio after unsuccessful soft launch!

Back in February, Rovio announced a new title dubbed Angry Birds Tennis under its Angry Birds series. The Finnish game company quietly launched the game for the iOS platforms in the US market. Of course, that was just an early market test. Soon after, the company conducted yet another soft launch early market test in the month of July. Well, after two unsuccessful attempts, Rovio has now decided to scrap the game once and for all.

Angry Birds Tennis is now removed from all stores and will remain the same way since the game now ceases to exist. This is not the first game that Rovio is pulling the plug on. Back in June, Rovio cancels the in-development of its puzzle RPG title dubbed Phoenix Rangers. The title lasted for about seven months after its soft launch. To recall, the title was available in the US, Sweden, Finland, and Mexico during the soft launch period.

For those who’re unaware, Angry Birds Tennis was a free game that brought the multiplayer experience to the Angry Birds franchise. As the name suggests, you play tennis in Player vs Player gameplay mode and choose between two dozen characters. Of course, you will need to unlock these characters along the journey. The game also consists of multiple modes allowing players to keep things spicy. Rovio was planning to bring some super abilities to the gameplay experience.
