Thomas Was Alone now available on Switch

Developer Bithell Games has announced that Thomas Was Alone will be available on the Switch eShop from February 19.

For those unaware, Thomas Was Alone is a platform game where you have to guide a group of sentient rectangles through 100 levels full of obstacles. Through this “unconventional journey” you will discover the story behind the first conscious Artificial Intelligence. The game has a lot of plot full of twists and turns. So it has more to offer than it looks.

Thomas Was Alone takes place within a computer mainframe, where some unspecified “Event” has caused several artificial intelligence routines to run out of control and gain personalities. Each entity is represented by a simple colored shape; the game’s eponymous character is a simple red rectangle.

Thomas Was Alone is now available in a bunch of platforms

This is the first video game published and directed by Mike Bithell, originally released on June 30, 2012, for macOS and Microsoft Windows. Later, it reached, in progressive order, PlayStation 3 systems, PlayStation Vita,  Linux, iOS, Android, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U. It’s also available on the Amazon web domain. Additionally, it received a special physical edition – exclusively in the United States -, restricted to the Playstation 4 console.
Now, those who enjoy a good, classic, puzzle game will have the chance to play it on Nintendo’s hybrid console. As stated before, this game reached iOS and Android and it quite fits the portable experience. So we’re pretty sure it will ensure enjoyable hours of gameplay in the Switch.
