The Nintendo Everything website made an interesting summary of information about the Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury performance on the Switch, including details of the resolution and the frame rate per second of the port, both in portable mode and in the dock. For comparison, keep in mind that the original Wii U game ran at 60 frames per second at 720p resolution.
“Super Mario 3D World runs at 60 frames per second in both portable and dock mode. However, it does not maintain the same resolution in both modes. In portable mode, the resolution is 720p. On TV it reaches 1080p – an interesting upgrade over the original game.
In the new game mode, Bowser’s Fury, the specifications vary slightly from the main mode.
In Mario’s new adventure, you can expect a performance of 30fps in portable mode and 60fps in the dock. As for the resolution, the source says it is 720p, but does not distinguish between portable and docked mode. It is possible that the resolution reaches 1080p on TV, however, this has not yet been confirmed.”
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will be released on February 12. Players can already pre-order the new Super Mario adventure game via Nintendo’s eShop.
