Bandai Namco and Tencent are partnering for the development of a new Digimon game on mobile. Digimon New Century will soon arrive in China and will bring more than 300 monsters and a new story.
Many Digimon games have already been released in China. There are also several titles of this franchise that have arrived on mobile. Digimon New Century (tentative name) seems to be just another gacha with automatic combat.
Combat comes in the classic turn-based RPG style with teams of 5. Of course, since this is a Digimon Game, it will come with the complete evolution system. So you can train your Agumon all the way until he digivolves to War Greymon. Furthermore, if you watched the recent Digimon Adventure 2020 anime series, you’ll be glad to know that some of the new evolutions (i.e. Togemon to Ponchomon) are present in the game as well! Apparently, players will be able to enjoy a story mode. In this particular mode, you can also play the events of the original Digimon Adventure anime series. This is the perfect chance to re-enter Digimon World if you’re an avid fan of the classic series.
Digimon New Century has not yet been released in China or in the West.
