Sad news for MOBA Champions Legion fans. Studio Trois posted on social media that it will end the game’s activities and shut down the servers on August 24th. According to the producer, the decrease in users caused the game to decline. These days when League of Legends is joining the segment, it’s hard for some “mobile clones” of the game to stay relevant. We assume that players have lost interest in Champions Legion and left the game to search for better games in the segment.
You can see the studio statement below:
Since we started the Open Beta, we’ve worked hard to create the best possible gaming experience for you on the Champions Legion. However, given the current state of the game and the dwindling number of users, we realize that this path we’ve created together must come to an end; so we decided to end the game completely.
This was a difficult decision, as we know of the love and support that this community has given us for over a year. We have the same passion that you have for CL, and this community has made all of our efforts worthwhile; for that, we are very grateful for all the experiences we had together.
However, the game will not end immediately, you will be able to play until August 24, 2021. We look forward to sharing more moments of victory with all of you during this period!
Below is the schedule of the Champions Legion closing process:
1) Champions Legion will discontinue premium coin purchasing systems as of May 31st, but you will be able to continue using the in-game store as usual.
2) Champions Legion will shut down its servers on August 24, including the shutdown of all connectivity services and systems.
3) Before ending the test, all players will be able to enjoy all the content and events currently open in the game, and after May 31 we will have farewell events, a new mode, and all free heroes, including the new heroine Renée, as well like souvenir events on Facebook.
We hope you enjoy the content!
We will continue to comply with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policies, maintaining certain information to fulfill our legal obligations.
The development team will continue to work to create better games for you. So this is not a goodbye, but a goodbye! Thank you for your unconditional support!
See you on new battlefields!

Despite the tone of farewell, the fact that they do not shut down the servers completely may reveal that there is still salvation for this mobile game. Apparently, it only needs to get a certain dose of engagement from players.
Champions Legion was released last year and it’s a lightweight MOBA game. Unfortunately, the game seems to be suffering from a recent plague in the world of mobile games; There are many games to play, but limited time to dedicate to some of them.
