Publisher Eastasiasoft has announced that Empire of Angels IV will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop from June 24th. The game will also be released for PS4 and XBOX a day before on June 23rd.

For those unaware, Empire of Angels IV is a tactical RPG. It puts you on the Namtar Investigation Team, responsible for patrolling and maintaining order in Asgard. Players will need to Investigate a mysterious plague that turns ordinary people into violent beasts. During the adventure, they’ll fight strong enemies and overcome challenges to discover the truth behind the kingdom’s history. The game reintroduces the franchise’s lore, characters, and mechanics. For that reason, you don’t need any prior knowledge to enjoy this new adventure.

The game has a unique graphic style with 3D scenarios and chibi characters. As you can see it follows the grid-like tactical battle formula established by some popular games such as Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Disgaea.

Worth noting that for the first time since the series began in 1993, the Empire of Angels will reach consoles. The game also features a huge cast of gorgeous female characters fully voiced in Mandarin, along with improved English subtitles. The story brings deep-fantasy-themed political intrigue and the looming terror of war. These elements are balanced by light-hearted character interactions, slice-of-life humor, alluring designs, and the ability to shatter your all-female opponents’ armor.
