NieR Reincarnation will hit the west on July 28

Yoko Taro’s enigmatic mind gave birth to Drakengard and consequently to the NieR franchise. After conquering many fans around the world with its mature and deep story-telling, the franchise is hitting smartphones. NieR Reincarnation is the new entry in the NieR franchise and hit Android and iOS devices in Japan earlier this year. Now, the game has been announced for global devices. On July 28th, Square-Enix will finally bring the game alongside Applibot to the West.

NieR Reincarnation ditches the hack “n” slash action combat from Nier Replicant and Nier Automata. Instead, we have turn-based combat and a huge focus on the story. If you want more of Taro’s stories, then the game is for you. However, be ready to deal with some gacha elements. After all, this is a free-to-play title and there will be in-app purchases. Moreover, you will need an internet connection to play the title.

NieR Reincarnation

Nier Reincarnation sees you in the desolated place called The Cage. In this place, a girl is guided by a mysterious creature called Mama. The girl departs in a journey to revive her memories and fix her mistakes. Her memory and her identity bring a lot for NieR fans.

While the game may not be a big deal for casual players, it means a lot for Nier fans. Interestingly, the game is the second mobile game involving Taro. Drakengard and Nier franchises’ creator is also the director of SINoALICE. The game recently had a partnership involving the recently released Nier Replicant.
