The game that was free before but with a built-in purchase to unlock all the content, became a completely free game. Perhaps, the game didn’t reach the expected results during its first two weeks which probably forced the studio to change its strategy. Maybe now, it will be more attractive for those who completely missed the launch.
My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge was touted as a “free to play” game as its trailer and ad banners showed. However, when the game arrived in app stores, players found that it was only possible to play a small part of the game.
With player feedback, the studio backtracked and decided to update My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge. After the update, the game is now completely free. Of course, it brings a monetization system. The built-in purchase system was exchanged for ads that are displayed between matches. Gamers also didn’t like the checkpoints system, which was changed to be the same as the paid version. Of course, if you want a less annoying experience free of ads, you can purchase the premium mode.
For those unaware, My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge is an action/shooter with 3D graphics and 2D gameplay. The play movers the character through small scenarios and try to eliminate the enemies without being hurt by them. The story is fun and sees the adventure of a banana trying to rescue its banana family. The game features 37 stages full of action and shooting. Of course, there are many jokes during the story.
