Genshin Impact’s First Anniversary Revolts Players

Genshin Impact arrived last year and revolutionized the mobile gaming segment. There are a lot of companies developing games to compete with the title that has determined a new standard for mobile gaming. mihoyo is celebrating the game’s first anniversary, but apparently, the community isn’t happy. According to the players, the celebration event is a failure and the rewards are far from what they have been expecting.

To unlock new characters in Genshin Impact, it is necessary to use a “gacha” system, which is nothing more than a mechanism with random chances. And as we’ve explored in other articles, this system is most often unfair.

The complaints have been going on for an entire week, but there is still no answer from miHoYo

Complaints about the anniversary event have been going on for a week. There was an expectation that miHoYo would redeem itself at the last minute. However, that didn’t happen and the subject exploded again on social media. Right now, mentions of the producer of Genshin Impact already surpass 445,000 on Twitter. On social networks, there was no lack of comments. Some players accuse the company of being “stingy” and aiming only for profit.

Criticism has its point when we look at the game’s financial success. Genshin Impact raised no less than $1 billion dollars in six months. The magic number is only counting Android and iOS versions.

Frustration turned to anger and the players went on the attack. Genshin Impact’s overall rating began to drop in app stores. The game is rated 1.9/5 on Google Play. The drop was not so sharp on the App Store, but it has already started to appear. The game went from 4.7 /5 to 4.2/5.

We are curious to see if miHoYo will do anything to change this and make its players happy.
