Metroid Dread gets a Demo on Nintendo eShop

Nintendo in conjunction with developer MercurySteam today released a free demo version of Metroid Dread for the Nintendo Switch via Nintendo eShop.

Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread is the latest entry of the popular franchise starring Samus Aran. One of the games behind the “Metroidvania” concept is here to show what makes a good Metroidvania. The mixes 3D cutscenes with 2D scenario exploration. As usual, you’ll see a lot of backtracking, will uncover new abilities, and fight fierceful battles. The game is one of Nintendo’s big launches for 2021. It also sets the standard for a new series of games in the Metroid universe.
