Publisher Devolver Digital and Developer Acid Nerve has announced that Death’s Door will reach Nintendo Switch on November 23. Alongside the announcement, the developers published a new trailer for the game.
Death’s Door takes players to a peculiar and curious world, where crows are responsible for collecting the souls of the dead. Harvesting souls and punching a clock can be tedious, but it’s honest work for a crow. The work gets lively when your assigned soul is stolen and you must track down a desperate thief to a realm untouched by death. In this place, creatures grow far beyond your exhalation and overflow with greed and power.
To survive, the crow uses melee weapons, arrows, and spells. The game brings roguelike elements but allows many of the character’s attributes can be customized. It is now available on PC and Xbox and will now come to Nintendo’s console, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
The game is perfect for those who ever enjoyed an Isometric Zelda, like the difficult of Dark Souls – in a smaller coup of course, or even enjoyed Hades, despite the big differences.
Death’s Door certainly is one of the big surprises of 2021. Moreover, it’s one of the best indie games of the year.
