Do you remember Heroes of Incredible Tales (HIT)? It’s an online action RPG released by Nexon in 2015 on Android and iOS. It’s has become well known for being one of the first successful games to use Unreal Engine 4. Seven years later, Nexon intends to revitalize the franchise with HIT 2.
HIT 2 is an MMORPG that will be a direct sequel to HIT (Heroes of Incredible Tales), a mobile action RPG released in 2015. The new game will be a complete MMO that will feature Unreal Engine 4 and will have realistic graphics. According to the producer, players can expect massive PvP battles. The new game is in charge of XT Studio, a new subsidiary of Nexon. The team is made up of NAT Games employees who worked on the Original HIT. XH stands for “Xtreme Hit”.
The game’s launch will obviously take place first in South Korea and should happen in 2022. However, there is no forecast for a global release. The production company posted a new trailer (in 4K) showing the photo-realistic look of the character classes. Check out the video below:
HIT 2 takes place 10 years after the first game and will feature old characters in the story. That’s if the story matters.
One of the big problems of Korean MMORPG games is the exaggerated focus on grinding and PvP and it seems that this will also happen in HIT 2, as in interviews, the developers took a lot of time to explain how the final content of the game will be. a PvP between guilds. Given this, despite the beautiful visuals, the game can fall into the same case as Odin Valhalla Rising, an open-world game that drew a lot of attention and in the end was just another “automatic MMORPG”.
