Fall Guys gets a new update patch with improvements on PS5

Mediatonic released a new update for Fall Guys this past Monday (27). Available on all platforms, the patch improves PS5 voice chat communication, fixes lag issues during loading screens, and implements a number of minor optimizations.

Now, PlayStation 5 players shouldn’t face inconsistencies when chatting with friends. Before the update was released, the community was complaining about crashes involving the system. It was not possible to hear voices in the team rooms.

According to the patch notes, fans can still expect improvements to team respawn locations and animations. In addition, the studio resolved issues regarding bugs in controls — reported after there was a joystick swap —, general grappling mechanics in matches, and invisible blocks in Hex-a-Gone.

To those unaware, Fall Guys is currently available for free for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game was originally launched as a paid title, but become free this month. Interestingly, PS Plus subscribers have been playing this for free for a long time now. After all, the game was launched as a PS Plus Monthly game release.

Right after becoming a free-to-play title, Fall Guys reached the impressive mark of 20 million players in just 48 hours. The info was shared by Mediatonic on Twitter and the new format was celebrated by the Battle Royale.
