Mafia 4: Everything we know so far

Mafia is a renowned gaming franchise from Hangar 13 and 2K Games. So far, three titles are released in the series. Mafia 3 was the last installment, that was launched six years back. Since the first Mafia came out in 2002, and the second installment in 2010; the developer revived the full franchise with new graphics in 2020. As the name suggests, Mafia is an action gaming franchise based on mobs. But more importantly, the storyline of the games is top-notch. Now that it’s been years since the next Mafia release, we are hoping to see the next installment soon.

Mafia 4 might be a prequel to Mafia 1 focusing on Don Salieri

Mafia 4: Everything we know so far

For now, the next Mafia game is still unannounced. Yet, we have compiled all the leaks that have surfaced online in the recent past. The next Mafia title is allegedly codenamed ‘Nero’, which means powerful and strong in Latin. So what will be strong in the next game?

Well, according to Kotaku, the next game will be a prequel to the original Mafia. More leaks suggest that it will take place in the late 19th century and early 20th century, with more focus on Don Salieri. For those unaware, Don Salieri is an important character in the first game. He is strong and powerful, just like the codename “Nero.”

It’s just my speculation, but I think we might get a chance to play as Don Salieri in the next Mafia installment. Maybe a young version of him, following his footsteps from zero to being a mob boss. Not only his story will be interesting, but will surely attract the players of the first installment. Well, time will tell what Mafia 4 brings us. Until then, keep checking MobiGaming to stay updated with all the latest gaming news.
