NiOh series sold more than 7 million units worldwide

Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja announced this Wednesday (26) that the NiOh franchise, currently with “three” games (one of which is a collection), has sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. The announcement came via a post on the studio’s official Twitter. In the post, they thank the community and fans who followed the premieres of the titles. Check out:

“The franchise has now surpassed seven million units sold worldwide! We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years with the release of NiOh in February 2017 and NiOh 2 in March 2020. We hope you are looking forward to future Team Ninja Studio projects!”

NiOh

The first game in the franchise was released on consoles in February 2017, followed by PC in November 2017. The second also debuted on last-gen consoles in March 2020, followed by PC in February 2021. Finally, NiOh Collection, a collection that includes both games remastered for the new generation, was released in February 2021.

NiOh 2 is now part of the PS Plus library

Worth noting that Sony confirmed that NiOh 2 will be part of the PS Plus Essential in November 2022. The first game was also offered a few years ago, so if you’ve redeemed the first title before, you will now get the chance to complete the collection through the subscription.
