Modern Warfare 2 will have free weekend in December

If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to test Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, good news: the new franchise game may have a free weekend to play between December 15th and 19th. The information is from journalist Tom Henderson.

In a report on Insider Gaming, Henderson explains that the title will also receive a mid-season update on December 14th. No details about the update were shared on this occasion, but the journalist claims that the “Shipment” map will return to multiplayer.

In addition to the news that may appear in Modern Warfare 2, the insider also mentions that a new update is expected to arrive in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War on December 6th. It is worth remembering that, although Henderson is a source of good credibility in the industry, none of this has been officially confirmed by Activision. Therefore, treat the text with some caution.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 is available for PlayStation consoles, Xbox and PC. Interestingly, the availability of future Call of Duty games on PlayStation is uncertain. Microsoft denies it. However, once the Activision acquisition is approved, no one will be able to prevent the company from making COD exclusive to Xbox. That will hurt Sony and the PlayStation division. After all, COD is always one of the best-selling games on PlayStation consoles.
