Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion is one of the best debuts in years

Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion has been launched a few weeks back and already is one of the most succesful hits for the series in recent times. The game, to those unaware, is a remaster of the PSP game from 2007. However, this is really well-made remaster with new graphics and effects. It became one of the best debuts for the franchise in the past ten years, in Japan.

According to Famitsu, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion sold 54.522 units on PS4. It sold 53,481 units for PS4, and 48.527 units for the Nintendo Switch. The game sold about 156,530 units in total since its launch. Below, you can see the top 10 sales in the 12-18 December window in Japan.

The Japanese journal notes that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is the third-best release for a franchise game in the last 10 years — and the best for a spin-off since 2014. The title is already available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
