Deathloop: Sequel or DLC is coming soon

Deathloop may receive more chapters in the future. It is not yet known whether it will be a DLC or a sequel to the game, but the actors of Colt (Jason Kelley) and Julianna (Ozioma Akagha) revealed that they are under contract with the studio Arkane. That means they will continue to produce content involving the characters.

The information was disclosed during participation by the duo on the Streamily channel, on YouTube. They talked about this mysterious new work involving the title. The two answered several questions, interacted with the chat, and distributed autographs on some marketing materials.

During the chat, Kelly talked about how their relationship with Arkane is still active. He said the company still communicates with both via the codename used in the initial audition – but the nicknames could not be revealed as there is a contract in place.

In May 2022, Kelley revealed that he was under a non-disclosure agreement, that is, he could not talk about an alleged “new title”, denying the existence of DLC or additional content for Deathloop. On the other hand, she mentioned the Colt character in the Twitter post, which generated a backlash.

Despite the DLC being “discarded”, it is important to note that the studio usually delivers this type of content to its games. The same happened with Dishonored 2, where a continuation of the main narrative was presented.

That way, it’s safer to wait for the studio to officially reveal plans for the future of the series.

Deathloop is part of the Dishonored universe

Studio Arkane has confirmed that Deathloop and Dishonored share the same universe. The titles would be in a single timeline, according to Dinga Bakaba, creative director of the studio. Deathloop was one of the first “next-gen” games to come exclusively for the PS5. We don’t know yet if the sequel will also be exclusive.
