One of the big surprises of 2022 was the announcement of Resident Evil 4 Remake, Capcom’s new reimagining that is scheduled for March 24th. Fortunately, it looks like production on the sequel is going well and is close to completion, according to project director Yoshiaki Hirabayashi — also responsible for 2019’s Resident Evil 2.
Asked by Famitsu (via Gematsu) about expectations for 2023, Hirabayashi said that the team is doing its best to leave the game in good shape. Furthermore, he promised that information about the remake will be released soon.
We’re hard at work bringing you more information about Resident Evil 4, scheduled for March 24th. The game is also in the final stages of production and the team is united to make it a highly polished product. Please wait a little longer.
After a series of rumors, Capcom announced Resident Evil 4 during the June State of Play. Despite the duration is similar to the classic, the game will have changes in its structure. It will embrace survival horror once and for all — unlike the original, which lasted more for action.
The first gameplay was released in October, during a special showcase for the franchise. At the time, it was possible to see Leon facing the Ganados of the village, as well as the fearsome Dr. Salvador — the “chainsaw man”.
With free upgrades between generations, the title will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
