Final Fantasy Origin 2? It’s possible according to Nomura

Despite the mixed reception, the action RPG Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin may have a sequel announced by Square Enix. In a recent interview, producer Tetsuya Nomura commented on the game and revealed that everything depends solely on the fans.

During a broadcast with publisher devs (via NoisyPixel), Nomura celebrated the arrival of the Different Future DLC and left the door open for a sequel. According to him, community support and positive words would be essential for Square Enix to start a franchise.

FF Origin

“I am pleased to say that everyone who watched this live stream really liked Jack and his friends. So much so that some would love to see a sequel [to the title]. If the game spills over to DLC completion, proving that this is a title that truly resonated with everyone, perhaps we could meet again. At this time, there are no plans for further story content to Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. That’s because the next expansion is planned as the final part. It will wrap up Jack’s canon storyline.”

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
