Hogwarts Legacy will have many customization options for characters, but a crucial element of the franchise will be offered on a limited basis. That’s because, according to WB Games, the wands cannot be changed after the house ceremony.
The in-game magic wand will be bound to the character file. It must be determined during the first few moments of the main campaign. This means that, with the choice of the house to which the player will belong, whoever wants to choose another accessory needs to start a new save.
This information was recently confirmed by Hogwarts Legacy’s social media. Thus, students of the witchcraft school will carry the same instrument from the beginning to the end of the story and will not even receive other wands to alternate it at any time.
Hogwarts Legacy launches on February 10th for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Worth noting that PS4 and Xbox One will also get the game. However, the developers will need more time to optimize the old-gen ports. As a result, these versions will launch only by April. Of course, the optimization for the old platforms is taking more time than needed. Honestly, considering the delay, we’re not very confident about these ports. It’s common for cross-gen games to get massive downgrades on old platforms. And we’re talking of WB Games which is well known for a terrible cross-gen port of Shadow of Mordor.
