Invader Studios has just confirmed the timeline for the release of Daymare 1994 Sandcastle. Apparently, as the title suggests, the game will be a prequel to Daymare 1998. According to the company, the title will be released in May with versions for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam).
In this chapter of the game, players will control Dalila Reyes. She is an ex-spy for the North American government and will play the role in the game with action, horror, and survival elements. Along with the announcement, publisher Leonardo Interactive released a new trailer.
Daymare 1994 Sandcastle is inspired by the greatest hits of the 90s
Alessandro De Bianchi, owner of Invader Studios and director of Daymare 1994 Sandcastle, said that this second chapter was a great project for the company. According to him, the company’s goal is to create an “immersive and terrifying” atmosphere. To achieve this, he drew inspiration from the classic 1990 film.
“We invested a lot of resources and used the most advanced technologies available to create this game. Moreover, we got inspiration from great hits of the ‘golden age’ of the 90s. At the same time, we want to offer a modern and innovative game for fans of the horror genre.”
For those who do not know, Daymare 1998 is available since September 17, 2019. It’s a third-person survival horror game that recreates the mood of iconic titles from the 1960s. Of course, it brings a fresh story and requires a strategic approach to combat. So far, the game’s reception was considered positive. There were some mixed impressions for some players, but so far, it was a good game. Of course, it was not easy to go meet the expectations in the same year that Capcom launched Resident Evil 2 Remake. Invader Studios is an Indie developer and managed to deliver a quality product.
