Right now, Capcom is ready for the launch of the Resident Evil 4 Remake. The game will be launched tomorrow March 24, but as usual, the first gameplay videos are popping out on YouTube. So if you want to avoid spoilers in this re-imagination, try to stay off the web. To allow players to enjoy the game as soon as possible, Capcom has opened the pre-load of the game. As result, Xbox and PlayStation owners can download the game files ahead of the launch date. So they can play as soon as it is out.
Resident Evil 4: You can start downloading the game right now!
The Resident Evil 4 Remake brings improved graphics and gameplay systems. We also expect some re-imaginations through the plot. The trailers already suggested some changes in the game. Moreover, we expect some changes in the behavior of enemies. Right now, all those that purchased the game, on PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series will be able to pre-load the game.
On the PS4, the game occupies about 30.93 GB, when it comes to the PS5 this is about 58.03 GB. What explains the size difference? We assume that this has to do with heavier textures and models with higher resolution on the PS5. The PS5 has a very efficient encryption system dubbed Kraken. That explains why it is almost 10 GB smaller than the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S version that is below 67 GB. For some, this must be a lot to download. In order to avoid further delays caused by the internet, Capcom is allowing players to put the game to download and enjoy it as soon as it becomes available. This has been a common practice in the industry. Obviously, it only goes for the digital versions.
Of course, if you’re not getting the game at the launch, you can still test it to make a decision. Thanks to the Chainsaw Demo, players can get a brief experience of the new gameplay. The game got one of the best scores of the franchise on Metacritic. Apparently, it will set a new standard for high-quality remakes.
