CSGO Surpasses All-Time Player Record Ahead of Counter-Strike 2 Release

CS:GO has once again broken the record for concurrent players. According to SteamDB statistics, CS:GO reached 1.5 million, concurrent players. The previous broken record was set just one month back with 1.3 million players. This news came just after the launch of the highly anticipated Counter Strike 2.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a popular game on Steam. It regularly has over one million players at the same time, which is impressive. However, it still falls short of the current record holder, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), which has had a peak of 3.2 million players. Nevertheless, CS:GO has been gaining more players recently and has set new player records three times in the past month alone. Its continued popularity is a testament to its gameplay and the dedication of its player base.

After the announcement of the Counter-Strike 2 beta by Valve, many people watched streamers play CS:GO on Twitch. Most of the other times with high viewership were during big tournaments. Forbes reported on this information, which came from a website called Stream Charts.

The full version of the free-to-play Counter-Strike 2 game will be released in the summer of 2023. The developers are currently running a limited test(beta) with some of the new features.
