Square Enix, the developer of Final Fantasy 16, has recently revealed a few clips of the highly anticipated game. The latest showcase has revealed the game’s immersive world and highlights the wide range of diverse locations. Judging from the first look, we can truly say this really looks amazing.

Final Fantasy is slowly evolving as a highly anticipated game for the year 2023. Although the game’s initial announcement came in 2020 during the PS5 showcase event, its concept design reportedly began in 2015. Yesterday during the PAX East event in Boston, Square Enix revealed some fresh looks. You can also watch the trailer below in the embedded tweet.

Final Fantasy 16 is an RPG-based game that follows the story of Clive Rosfield. A young knight tasked with protecting his kingdom from a dangerous threat known as the Blight. With the help of his allies, Clive embarks on a journey filled with political intrigue, betrayal, and epic battles against powerful enemies. The game features a real-time combat system. It will allow for fast-paced action and strategic gameplay. In addition, it will offer stunning graphics and a fantastic world of Valisthea.

So far, Square Enix has been releasing lots of gameplay teasers periodically. The previous trailer came three months back through the official PlayStation channel on Youtube. It was termed the ‘Revenge Trailer’. You can also watch below:

Final Fantasy 16 will not be open world

Final Fantasy 16 will not have an open world but instead have large and separated areas. According to the game’s director Hiroshi Takai, the game’s world will be made up of multiple maps, with four large zones of around 2km by 2km each. A new trailer for the game showcases the expansive landscape and impressive graphics, putting to rest any doubts about the size of the game’s world. Players will be able to explore these vast areas and participate in epic battles against strong foes.

Final Fantasy XVI is available for pre-order with four options. These are Standard, Deluxe, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. Each edition comes with different bonuses. The game will be released on June 22, 2023, and will only be available on consoles for the first six months. The game won’t be available on PlayStation 4. The development team has said that they’re unsure if the PC version will be ready after the six-month period.
