Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles “Last Ronin” game coming soon

After the success of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge, it seems that our favorite turtles are returning to video games. Rather than a new 2D game paying tribute to the old classics of the 1990s, the new game will be a 3D adaptation of the fan-fave visual novel “The Last Ronin”.

Paramount Global senior VP Doug Rosen has confirmed this to Polygon. According to him, the new game will be a third-person action-RPG adaptation. The game will also bet on a “darker, more mature take” on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In fact, the goal is to make something that fits the same atmosphere as Sony Santa Monica’s God of War games.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ “The Last Ronin” will be a single-player experience

Obviously, to offer a focused experience, the game will follow a single Turtle. In the comic, it’s Michaelangelo. Although it may be possible to play as others. These can include April and Splinter, through flashbacks. Anyway, the idea is clearly to offer a deep experience with a single character. Of course, that is what we expect. After all, if we are going for a God of War-like route. The game probably will offer a deep narrative.

Unfortunately, there is no exact forecast for the launch of this game. Rosen did not specify when the game is coming, nor has he revealed which studio is working on this project. However, he said that the project will be revealed in due time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

When it comes to this project, we will have to wait. But fans of the iconic characters will have one more title to enjoy in the coming years. As for the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge, there is one more way to play the game. As per a new report, the game is now available on iPhone and Android devices via a Netflix subscription. We have to say that this is probably one of the biggest additions Netflix has made to its portfolio of games.

The game was first launched for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. It was very well-received by fans. The game blends retro-sidescrolling gameplay with action and beat ”em-up elements. The smartphone version features touch controls and allows you to play with others online. However, there is no cross-play. All online players need to be part of the same Netflix mobile version.
