UFL gets new trailer with 8 minutes of gameplay

The Soccer games as we know them are about to disappear. Instead of Arcade experiences, Konami and FIFA are progressing into the simulator segment. Konami left the usual formula for a new free-to-play eFootball with seasonal content. Meanwhile, FIFA is about to be rebranded by EA due to the end of licensing. Right now, we don’t know if EA will keep the tradition or will also move to the free-to-play formula. Meanwhile, there is a new competitor set to try its luck in this segment dominated by these two players. Strikerz Inc. a starting company is about to launch its UFL. After a couple of teasers with not much content, we finally got a trailer that shows 8 minutes of gameplay.

UFL promises to be a worthy contender against the likes of EA Sports FC (FIFA’s new name) and eFootball. The company recorded the second half of a match, during an alpha test on January 23. Two months later, it is finally revealing the content to the public. The studio states that this is a testing version. The final product will be polished and will get a “new animation system”. In this video, it’s possible to see some of the gameplay mechanics like dribbles, passes, and of course, the goals. You can see it below:

The lack of animation and polishing may sound like sad news for those waiting for a close release. After all, back in August 2022, the game was pointed as “80% finished”. Originally, the game was set to come in 2022 but was postponed to 2023. At this point, there is no official release date. So more delays can’t be discarded.

UFL will have special partners

UFL

Worth noting that UFL will bring a set of popular players as ambassadors. The main player is Cristiano Ronald, currently playing in Al-Nassr, from Saudi Arabia. Further, it will also count Romelu Lukaku, Roberto Firmino, Kevin de  Bruyne, and others. Among the clubs, the Celtic, Besiktas, and Shakhtar Donetsk are ensured.
