Riot Games has rolled out patch notes 6.08 for Valorant. The latest update includes noteworthy changes for agents Gekko and Killjoy, map updates, and bug fixes. Killjoy, who is considered a top agent, has received enhancements that increase her ability. She will now have better interaction with the game environment and the effectiveness of Nanoswarm. Additionally, the patch introduces the battle pass for Episode 6 Act 3, which is now live and available for players to enjoy.

Updates in Agent Gekko and Killjoy

Valorant made some changes to improve Gekko gameplay experience. They updated the character’s portrait to make it easier to read during the game. Wingman’s audio cues for planting and defusing the spike were unclear during hectic combat. To fix this, they made some audio improvements to make these cues stand out.

Killjoy’s Nanoswarm ability also got some changes. The reveal radius has been increased to 525, and the audio loop turns off when Killjoy is killed or suppressed. The enemy also gets better feedback when they destroy the Nanoswarm. Killjoy’s Turret and Alarmbot sounds were updated to make them more distinct, and the yellow warning UI Indicator for enemies was removed for Killjoy’s ultimate Lockdown being destroyed. Overall, these changes make the game more playable and enjoyable for the players.

Icebox is out of the competitive queue

Icebox map is temporarily removed from both Competitive and Unrated queue map rotation, and players will have to wait for its return. The Bind map has undergone significant changes, including the removal of teleport, which connected A bath to B main. The A bath entrance has been widened, and there are now radianite boxes on the A site. Additionally, a vent has been added on the B side of the map.

The game developers fixed some bugs to improve the gameplay experience. One of the bugs involved an issue where the “Kick ally off” option would show up while defusing the Spike. They also fixed a visual bug where the Spike progress bar for planting or defusing would speed up or reset during defusing. Additionally, there was an issue where Yoru was unable to drop his weapon while using Dimensional Drift (X), which has now been fixed. These bug fixes make the gameplay smoother and less frustrating for players.
