Alan Wake 2 is on its final stretch of development

Remedy has provided updates on its next games. These include the highly-anticipated Alan Wake 2. Right now, the game is “moving towards the final stage of full production”. The studio plans to launch it by the end of the year.

Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy, offered information on the titles the company is working on, including Alan Wake II, Control 2, and Max Payne 1&2. The long-awaited Alan Wake sequel is currently in its final stages of development.

Virtala stated that “Alan Wake 2 is on its way to becoming a great game and has everyone at Remedy excited.” “We have begun the final significant stage of full development in preparation for the game’s release later this year.

Max Payne series will also make a comeback

The Max Payne 1&2 Remakes have entered the proof-of-concept stage. The dev team of the game has reportedly been concentrating on drawing attention to the essential components of the Max Payne games and adapting these classics to the current-gen platforms.

The CEO of Remedy stated that the Max Payne 1&2 remake “has progressed well and during the first quarter the project moved into the proof-of-concept stage.” “The development team has worked well to demonstrate the essential components of what Max Payne is all about and to deliver the game to the current-generation consoles and PCs in great quality.

Despite this, Remedy’s primary attention is on Alan Wake 2. While there is still more to be done, Virtala stated, “I am impressed with the quality of the work and the team’s rate of progress. The potential of the game is great. After Control in 2019, this will be the first new game we’ve released. We can be confident that Alan Wake 2 will be a game that players will want to play and that we can all be proud of.

We haven’t really seen any genuine gameplay of Alan Wake 2 yet, despite the fact that the game looks to be close to release. With several summer showcases for the games industry on the horizon, we’re hopeful that will soon change.

Release platforms for the game include the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The eagerly anticipated sequel’s release date has not been specified.
