Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Set to Receive Anime Adaptations

It’s an interesting day for fans of Ghost Of Tsushima and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice! These two excellent games with a lot of critical acclaim and a fairly-familiar landscape, will soon receive anime adaptations. The news comes from the Twitter account oecuf0 (Anime News), which focuses on covering anime news. Since it’s not an official source, take this with a pinch of salt. It has a good track record and has been teasing a potential anime production for a PlayStation IP for a while now.

Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro will soon get animes

Obviously, an anime adaptation of those IPs could give life to interesting characters, in rich narratives through beautiful landscapes. Both games have a deep landscape that could be further explored in this format. One anime for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice would be the perfect way to tell us this complex story. Although this game already has a nice story-telling, there is room to explore the origin of all characters, kingdoms, and more. The new format would also allow the inclusion of new stories and etc.

On Ghost of Tsushima, it would be nice to see the combat scenes through a narrative view. The fights with Katana, the Stealth Scenes, and the frantic combat system. Everything could be brought to life in this new form with attention to detail. The potential is even high to add more landscape to the existing characters.

Worth noting that despite the familiar landscape, the games are different. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is full of mythic stuff, while Ghost of Tsushima is more… realistic. Not so realistic, because we will still see some mythic stuff throughout the game. But still, Ghost of Tsushima takes into mind one existing conflict in Japanese history.

These two games are the next in line to break the barriers from video games to TVs. After the successful, The Last of Us show, Super Mario Movie, and more, It seems that we will start to see more and more games being adapted to different formats. Interestingly, NieR Automata also received an anime earlier this year. However, it is currently on hiatus.

Hopefully, these animes will be confirmed soon from official sources. With the PlayStation Showcase nearing, we expect to get more details soon.
