Humanoid Pokemon: A Spicy Concept for Gen 10

Pokemon has been a part of my life since childhood. I love everything about it, from the anime to the games. I even collected thousands of Pokemon cards – but I lost them while shifting homes. Anyways, as a Pokemon fan, I have realized that the franchise is getting dull lately. It needs some spice. That’s why I have a concept to share with you all about humanoid Pokemon.

Before I start spilling my imagination for the future of Pokemon, let me make it clear that this is totally my own concept. You may find it interesting or even dislike it, so proceed at your own risk.

The Concept: Humanoid Pokemon

Despite the potential for this topic, there has been little discussion about it, leaving me wondering why The Pokemon universe has always had a futuristic element. Even the latest Pokemon Violet game focuses on the future. Yet, we do not see technology somehow messing up in the future and causing chaos.

In Spider-Man, a spider bite gives humans different abilities. Similarly, my concept revolves around an experiment by an evil Professor. Yes, you heard it right – traditionally we have seen Professors in the franchise taking a positive role. But in this case, it is the opposite. An evil Professor Oak? That’s it!

The Plot: An Evil Experiment Gone Wrong

The Evil Professor has one goal – to give the human race the powers of Pokemon. He has a grudge against Pokemon. The Evil Professor faced a troubled childhood due to a mistakenly awakened legendary Pokemon that destroyed his home and family. Hence, he has a strong grudge against the pocket monsters. He wonders why they are stronger, why do humans have to stay away from tall grass?

Hence, the evil Professor experiments on a boy who he kidnapped from a nearby town. He injects him with a formula that gives him Pokemon-like abilities. One day his plan truly succeeds – the boy is no longer just a human but possesses strong Pokemon abilities. Our protagonist turns into a Pokemon – a wolf-like creature, with huge claws and muscles. He roars in pain and fury as he breaks out of the laboratory and starts causing destruction everywhere. The Professor watches in awe and horror as he realizes he has created a monster he can’t control.

The Climax: A Race Against Time

Fortunately, the beast faints due to its extreme power and returns to human form. He is rescued by some Pokemon trainers who were passing by and witnessed the explosion. They could be the protagonists of the current Pokemon anime. At the same time, the Professor is celebrating and is rejoiced to know that his secret formula to inject deadly Pokemon abilities into humans is now ready and he can take his revenge.

He decides to use his formula on himself and his loyal assistants, who also hate Pokemon for various reasons. He plans to unleash his army of human-Pokemon hybrids on the world and wipe out all the natural Pokemon.

Thankfully, the Pokemon trainers save our protagonist. In his human form, he is totally normal. He explains everything to the trainers. He panics as he tells that the Professor will now cause a lot of trouble. Our protagonist aims to stop the evil Professor before it’s too late – while the trainers are also willing to help him.

They track down the Professor’s hideout and confront him and his minions. A fierce battle ensues between the Professor and the trainers. The professor is using remote-controlled robotic Pokemon to attack.  Our protagonist also joins the fight, using his wolf-like form to attack the Professor.

Long story short, the trainers and our protagonist are able to stop the Professor somehow. The Pokemon Police get involved now and arrest the Professor for his evil intentions. The police confiscate the Professor’s formula and destroy his equipment.

Since our protagonist is a possible threat to everyone, the police also decide to catch him. But before they could, he disappears and is not found.

Human Pokemon concept for Gen 10: Yay or nay?

This was just my concept for the future of Pokemon. If this becomes a reality, do you think Pokemon anime will take a positive turn or should the company keep on moving forward with what they have been doing? Well, let me know in the comments below!

I would rather to see the main character will sliced with Pikachu’s DNA and have uncontrollable electrical abilities that major blackouts or massive destruction if the main character haven’t control it. Or I think it would be cool if the main character has fused with one of a new gen Legendary pokemon.
