How to run Diablo 4 on Steam Deck?

Can Steam Deck run Diablo 4?

The simple and short answer is – YES. You can play Diablo 4 on Steam Deck. However, You can’t download Diablo 4 from Steam. It won’t be available there anytime soon, like other Blizzard games. Instead, To play Diablo 4 on your Steam Deck, you’ll need to install Battle.net and then add the game to your Steam library.

As mentioned earlier you need a Battle.net for running Blizzard game on deck. However, setting up Blizzard’s games on the Steam Deck can be challenging due to compatibility issues with third-party launchers. However, you can use a tool called Lutris to easily install Battle.net and play Diablo 4 on a handheld device. Here are the complete steps:

1. Switch to Desktop Mode and click on “Discover” in the taskbar or select the “All Apps” tab.
2. Search for Lutris and install it on your Steam Deck.
3. Launch Lutris and click the “+” icon located at the top left corner to add a game.
4. Search for Battle.net in the Lutris game library and install it.
5. Install Diablo 4 (or any desired Blizzard game) from Battle.net onto your Steam Deck, following the usual installation process on a PC.
6. Open Steam Desktop in Desktop Mode on your Steam Deck.
7. Go to the games tab and choose “Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library.”
8. In the “Add a Game” window, select Lutris from your software list.

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully set up Diablo 4 (or any other Blizzard game) on your Steam Deck using Lutris.
