Call of Duty Multiplayer Is Under Fire Due to Lack of Content

Call of Duty players are upset with the paths taken by Activision when it comes to multiplayer content. Their displeasure was expressed over a Reddit post made on June 2. The post quickly became popular in the community of the high-grossing FPS game.

Call of Duty Multiplayer Under Fire for lack of support

The antmaster208 user made a meme that makes fun of how the publisher has been taking care of the DMZ mode while leaving Warzone 2.0 and the Coop mode apart. In a tragic way, the multiplayer mode is forgotten in the depth of the sea. The publication’s caption says “The next generation of Call of Duty”.

Many users started to interact with the post over the forum criticizing the current state of Call of Duty Multiplayer Mode. The Lizard King user said: “Multiplayer turned into a Camo grind fest. And the cherry on top are the crylords having meltdowns grinding longshots in Tier 1.”

Obviously, there are always two sides to the coin. Some users went forward to defend the DMZ mode. The user Nicky_G_873 said: “DMZ is the only mode that I can consistently have fun in”. The post also got some interactions pointing out that not all players are against the DMZ mode.

Despite the concerns, it’s not like the Multiplayer mode has been totally abandoned. It still gets content, but naturally, DMZ is getting more attention due to its recent appeal. Anyway, we should wait to see if Activision will react to the popular demand and boost the features of the Multiplayer Mode.

It’s natural to see more content on DMZ, but players expect proper attention to the classic modes

The current season on DMZ brought a Crafting System for Items and Equipment. It also brought additional weapons, missions, and more content. Perhaps, this is the level of support that players of the regular multiplayer mode are waiting for. Let’s see if the situation will change in the future.

COD

Call of Duty has been at the center of discussions due to the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard. There are some concerns about how the new administration will affect the game and its availability on other platforms. At least for the next 10 years, players can expect to find the game on various platforms and cloud gaming services.
