It has been a while since Nitara appeared in the Mortal Kombat series, 17 years to be more precise. Mortal Kombat 1 is known for bringing some classic characters from the 3D era back, and that is also the case with the vampire. Nitara is the latest announcement for the Mortal Kombat 1 roster, and she does not come as a random character! In fact, Nitara is being voiced by actress Megan Fox, which became popular in the past few years, especially with her presence in the Transformer franchise.
Nitara confirmed in Mortal Kombat 1
Nitara was featured in a new gameplay trailer. In the video clip, we can see more details of her renewed look and participation in the central campaign. Obviously, there is also time for the Kombos and Fatal Blow. According to the trailer, the Exoterra vampire will act in Mortal Kombat 1 as Ashrah’s rival. This conflict stretches back to the release of Mortal Kombat Armageddon in 2004 when the Edenian became an “angel of light” and was tasked with killing the blood-eater race across the realms.

This is not the first time that NetherRealm Studios partnered with popular artists to voice and even face its characters in Mortal Kombat 1. The previous game, Mortal Kombat 11, had a huge list of special characters that were voiced and even pictured on real actors. We can list Terminator, which had Arnold’s face, and Rambo which was also based on Stallone in every single way. Mortal Kombat 1 should follow this trend for its upcoming fighters. Besides Megan Fox, we already know that Omni-Man and Homelander will be voiced by JK Simmons and Antony Starr respectively.
Nitara’s happened on the same day as a leak revealing the complete roster of fighters. Apparently, NetherRealm was fast to make the announcement and make it more natural.
