A few days before its release, Separate Ways, the long-awaited DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake, had its official trailer released. The images detail Ada Wong’s journey of survival and confirm the adaptation of new narrative elements.
Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways Will Bring New Story Elements and Cut Content
The video features a cat-and-mouse game between Ada Wong and Albert Wesker. In the campaign, the protagonist must recover the artifact known as “Amber”. However, the adventure to discover the cure for the infection will be painful and full of horrors.
In Separate Ways, Ada will have a grappling weapon to move between structures and combat enemies quickly. In gameplay, the secret agent is able to approach monsters to carry out an execution or remove shields from cultists. Additionally, it has dodging mechanics, additional equipment, and involvement in a plot with substantial differences from the original content. Watch the trailer below and draw your own conclusions:
Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways will be released on September 21st as a paid expansion. The DLC will be available for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S / X, and PC. To those unaware, the Separate Ways DLC shows Ada Wong’s journey to recover one sample of the “Las Plagas” used by the Los Illuminados. The quest goes in parallel to Leon’s mission of rescuing the US President’s Daughter and taking her out from safety. Besides having new story elements, the DLC will also explain some of the gaps and show how both campaigns are connected.
Resident Evil 4 VR arrives on PS VR2 later this year
While Separate Ways is a paid expansion, Resident Evil 4 VR is a free add-on that will be available to all owners of the base game. The virtual reality experience arrives later this year on PS VR2 and had a new trailer released.
