Finally the moment has arrived; the AAA horror franchise is now listed on the Apple App Store. For those unaware, Apple announced that a bunch of AAA PC and Console game franchises will hit the iPhone soon. One of the them was Resident Evil. Two titles were announced to come including Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village. Now the good news has arrived that one of the games have been listed on the Apple App Store.
The iPhone 15 Pro lineup comes with the new A17 Chipset. Apple says it has one of the major GPU redesigns in the past few years. Thanks to the new advanced GPU, the iPhone 15 Pro lineup can handle heavier games.
To demonstrate the sheer power of the phones, Apple announced games like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Resident Evil for their new smartphone.
The Resident Evil games were said to come out “later” this year. However, Apple did not take much time as the Resident Evil 4’s page is already live on Apple App Store. Eligible users can pre-order the game now.
Requirements for Resident Evil 4 on Apple App Store
Resident Evil 4 Remake requires iOS 17 and later with A17 Pro chip or later. It means only iPhone 15 Pro and the Pro Plus are allowed to enjoy the game for now. Other than that, the game can also be played on other Apple products. This includes the iPadOS 17 with an M1 chip or later on the iPad, and macOS 13.0 with an M1 chip or later.
On Mac, the download size is 19.3GB on the App Store. While the iOS download size is around 700MB. I assume the 700MB file is for a “test” game and for the full version there will be an additional download.
Resident Evil 4 Remake on iPhone costs as much as the PC and Console version
The price for full game has been revealed. The Resident Evil 4 Remake costs $59.99 for iPhone which is similar to the retail price of PC and consoles. However, you can already find the game at half the price on Steam and other platforms.
Apart from this, there will also be an extra DLC pack that costs $19.99. That said, the expected release date is mentioned to be December 31st.
